 Leicestershire Warriors wishes you a Merry Xmas and an excellent 2008.
Last months meeting on the 12th Dec went well again with a very good turnout of players, with the City Slaughter table attracting a lot of attention as well as the Desert Destruction table.
Tim enjoyed the challenge of pitting his Necrons against Terry’s Tyranids and Marlon’s Tau, ending with, despite a brave attempt to deep-strike behind enemy lines, his eventual demise at the claws of the terrible Tyranids.
On the City Slaughter table Will and Ben pitted their armies of Tau and Chaos against each other, Will was joined by Alex and Dan’s Tyranids and later Ben was reinforced by Wyndham’s Space Marines (what a mix!). Battling over the ruined factories and plague bins, finally Will’s Tau was knocked out, allowing him to take a well earned NAFFI break.
While over on the Countryside Carnage table Sebastian, Brendan, Joseph and Dylan had a good against evil LOTR battle, with the castle walls being held admirably by the Elves, Gondorians, and Hero’s, whilst being bombarded by the Orc’s, Easterlings, and two fearsome Trolls. After a concerted effort by the forces of evil the gates were eventually breached and the ring fell to the Dark Side.
We hope to see everyone there again on the 16th Jan, along with any new armies Santa may have delivered over Xmas.
